Plan your Japan journey directly with the person designing it. Based in Nagoya, Joseph brings together luxury hotels and ryokan, private guiding and cultural experiences in a journey shaped around your interests, pace and priorities.
You plan directly with Joseph, who personally reviews your brief and leads the itinerary design. His interest in food, craft and local traditions sits alongside a practical eye for the rooms, transfers and quieter hours that make a journey work.
More about Joseph
From Britain, via Spain and New Zealand, Joseph found a home in Japan. More than a decade living and working here shapes his personal approach to travel.
Start with what you want from Japan. Together, you’ll decide which places deserve your time, where a guide adds something and where to leave the day open.
MoJo first launched online in December 2024.
A sense of what’s possible
Where will Japan take you?
A first visit, a family adventure or time for a particular interest. Start with a route that makes sense for the people travelling.
Design in Tokyo, food in Osaka and cultural context in Kyoto. Selected guiding creates shared discoveries; open time leaves room for individual interests.
Each overnight stop should earn its place in the route.
Illustrative planning concepts—not packages, completed client journeys or fixed-price offers. Routes and arrangements depend on the dates, travelling party, feasibility, pricing and availability. Photographs illustrate a travel direction, not confirmed inclusions or MoJo clients.
Plan your journey
Your Japan starts here.
Share your trip plans and Joseph will email you about next steps.
Hotels and ryokan, private guiding, transport and cultural experiences—planned together for couples, families and small private groups. Each arrangement is subject to availability.
How should I budget for a luxury Japan journey?
Share your whole-trip budget per person, excluding international flights, and say whether accommodation is included. Your dates, duration and priorities help us establish a realistic scope.
Do I need a referral or a finished itinerary?
Neither. Bring your approximate dates, travelling party and a few interests. Joseph will help you shape the route.
What happens after I enquire?
Joseph reviews your plans and gets in touch. Scope, budget and any planning fees are agreed before detailed design. An enquiry does not reserve or confirm a booking.
Who handles planning and booking?
Joseph leads the itinerary design and coordination: how your stays, transport, guiding and experiences fit together, and how the journey feels from one day to the next.
MoJo is not a licensed travel agency in Japan. The travel companies and suppliers identified for your journey provide their respective booking and travel services. Before you commit, your proposal and booking documents will identify who handles reservations, who you contract with and pay, and who confirms each arrangement.
Those documents will also set out the assistance included and the contacts to use while you travel. MoJo does not provide a 24/7 concierge or emergency-response service.
